Every Olay product can be purchased as a stand- alone product. However, there are many in each series that Olay has already paired together in groups they call “Protocols.” For instance in the Pro-X Line you will find two separate Protocols kits. One is the Pro-X Starter Kit.

The Age Repair Lotion is used in the same way. The Wrinkle Smooth Cream is used in the morning and the Deep Wrinkle Cream can be used both day and night to work on the deepest wrinkles, such as crow’s feet and wrinkles under the eyes.
The Pro-X Clear Protocol is a daily three step skin care regimen and acne treatment program. Olay states that using this protocol as directed will also help prevent future break-outs because of the way it works with the skin.
Pro-X Clear Care Acne Pore Clarifying Cleanser reduces oil and penetrates deep into your pores to help prevent new breakouts. Apply a small amount of the product to your hands and massage gently over a wet face. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Step two – the Skin Clearing Treatment is used by applying directly to breakouts. This clears the current blemishes, pimples and blackheads. Of course you would thoroughly clean the face and neck before applying this product. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer of the clearing treatment between one and three times per day.
Step three is for hydrating and renewal. Clear Complexion Renewing Lotion helps to fade the look of spots, redness and an overall renewed appearance. Simply apply a thin, even layer to your face daily.
As with any product that you are using if you notice that any dryness or peeling occurs simply reduce the frequency of applications. For example instead of using the Clarifying Cleanser daily reduce the usage to every other day. With the Skin Clearing Treatment cut back to once per day rather than three times per day – or if you only use it once per day cut it back to every other day.
